BOIL WATER NOTICE HAS BEEN RESCINDED 1/14/25

Boil Water Notice Rescinded

1/14/2025

On 1/13/2025 the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Wallis public water system, TX0080015, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use.

If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact City Hall at 979.478.6712.

Work has started on the Flood Mitigation Project. Sanitary sewer work will be started on the north side of town and storm water work will be on the south side to town. Contractors will be notifying affected residents by placing door hangers on your door to let you know when the work will start in your area.  We appreciate patience during these times of improvement projects.  Please don't hesitate to contact City Hall or the Mayor should the need arise.

Update on MIT Grant Drainage Project

Mayor Little has met with Mr. Weishuhn and citizens regarding ditch work, not getting close to fences, not requiring the 1 foot coverage on driveways at homes (this requirement was causing the ditches to be too deep, therefore creating too steep of ditches due to the limited easement).   Please don't hesitate contacting the Mayor should other concerns arise.  Click link below for a complete update report.
