POLICE OFFICER

The City of Wallis Police Department currently has an opening for a Police Officer.  Candidate must possess a TCOLE License and be in good standing with TCOLE.  Recent graduates from an accredited Police Academy are encouraged to apply.  If interested, complete application on this site, with all mandated paperwork and certificates.  Once completed, please call 979-478-7111 and speak to Lieutenant Flores for further information.  

 

CRIME VICTIMS LIAISON/GRANT WRITER

The Wallis Police Department is currently seeking applications for the position of Crime Victims Liaison/Grant Writer. This position can be a Civilian position or Police Officer position. The potential candidate will have the ability to write successful grants pertaining to the Wallis Police Department and submit the grants in front of a grant committee. The candidate will also be required to submit timely reports. The Crime Victims Liaison will work closely with crime victims and the Office of the Governor. The candidate will have a clear criminal history and have a positive employment history. The candidate will be willing to attend school to obtain proper certifications and to obtain further education relative to this position. Salary is based upon experience. CITY SECRETARY

The City of Wallis is currently seeking applications for the position of City Secretary. This is a permanent position. This position requires interaction with the public, participating in Council Meetings, preparing Council Packets, and proficient in completing reports in a timely manner. The City Secretary maintains the official records for the City, including minutes, contracts, agreements, ordinances, resolutions, and Public Information Requests in compliance with the Texas Public Information Act. The potential candidate will have a clear criminal history, and a positive employment history. Salary is dependent on qualifications.
