Regular City Council Meeting

The City Council of the City of Wallis, Texas, reserves the right to adjourn into Executive Session at any time during the course of this meeting to discuss any of the matters listed below as authorized by Title 5, Chapter 551, of the Texas Government Code.  551.071 (Consultation with Attorney), 551.072 (Deliberations about Real Property), 551.073 (Deliberations about Gifts and Donations), 551.074 (Personnel Matters), 551.076 (Deliberations about Security Devices), 551.086 (Deliberations about competitive matters), and 551.087 (Deliberation about Economic Development Matters).

2.            Invocation and Pledge of Allegiance

3.            Roll Call and Certification of Quorum

4.       Communication from the public (limited to the first eight registrants –limited to five minutes).     Anyone interested in appearing before Council at this meeting should register with the City Secretary.

In accordance with the Texas Attorney General’s opinion, any public comment that is made on an item that is not on the posted final agenda will only be heard by the City Council.  No formal action, discussion, deliberation, or comment will be made by the City Council.

Consider and act on adopting 2008-2009 audit from Belt Harris Pechacek.

b.                  Paradigm School Lease

Consider and act on passing a one-year lease agreement between the City of Wallis and Paradigm School.

c.                   Mutual Aid Agreement

Consider and act on renewing Mutual Aid Agreement with Austin County.

d.                  Struck off Property

Consider and act on accepting bids from the City of Wallis Development Corporation on Struck off property R11730 lot 11 & 12 Block 36.

e.                   Contract with Blackboard Connect

Consider and act on renewing the City’s service agreement with Blackboard Connect.

f.          Resolution 2010-09 Park Grant Program

Consider and act on adopting Resolution 2010-09 to discuss an application for funding to the Texas Recreation and Park Account Outdoor Program of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the proposed Mynarik Park

g.         Resolution 2010-10 Business Registration Program

            Consider and act on adopting Resolution 2010-10 authorizing a Business Registration Program.

                        h.         Resolution 2010-11 Wallis Parks Committee

            Consider and act on adopting Resolution 2010-11 establishing the Wallis Parks Committee.

                                                  i.                  Amend Ordinance 110-A    

Consider and act on passing Ordinance 110-B an amendment to Ordinance 110-A

Article 3 Section B Basis for Establishing the Areas of Special Flood Hazard

j.          Amend Ordinance 166 – Wrecker Ordinance

            Consider and act on granting a variance to Section 10 of Wrecker Ordinance 166.

k.                  Discussion – Noise Ordinance 118

Consider and act on amending Noise Ordinance 118.

l.          Discussion – Streets and drainage

Discussion and possible action on streets and drainage.

m.        Discussion- Future agenda items

Request for future agenda items.

8.                  Financial Review: Monthly reports, Budgetary Amendments if necessary, payments of bills.
